COE Press Equipment is pleased to announce the promotion of Bill Shomo to manager of the COE machine shop, a core part of its vertically integrated operation. Shomo brings nearly 25 years of experience to the position after serving as assistant manager.
As COE machine shop manager, Shomo now oversees the scheduling of machining jobs, purchasing of tooling and raw materials, quality certification, and staff supervision. These responsibilities are critical to COE’s ability to manufacture key components in-house, maintaining strict quality control and lead time reliability.
“We really value the commitment and contribution of employees like Bill to our operations,” said COE President Reid Coe. “His deep knowledge of our process will help us operate even more efficiently.”
Shomo’s promotion reflects COE’s dedication to nurturing long-term talent. He began his career in the shop and has grown steadily, earning leadership responsibilities through hands-on experience, training, and a deep understanding of the COE machine shop’s capabilities.
COE’s in-house machining allows for custom part production, rapid design adjustments, and greater control over the coil processing equipment manufacturing process. It’s a key reason COE machines are built to last.
At COE, we believe in promoting from within and investing in people who invest in us. If you’re looking for a long-term career in advanced manufacturing:
