COE Press Equipment announced that it has delivered four new coil processing lines to Gill Industries, a Tier One and Two auto supplier headquartered in Grand Rapids, Mich. All the lines are equipped to process cold rolled steels (MCRS), as well as advanced high strength steels (AHSS) up to 120,000 PSI yield.
Three of the lines, two installed at the Trenton, Ga., facility and one in Grand Rapids, feature COE’s 60-in. servo roll feed, 60-in. x 20-ft. dual threading table, 30,000-lb. x 60-in. coil reel, and 4-in. x 60-in. straightener with 6-in. pinch rolls. These lines can process MCRS up to 0.250-in. thick and AHSS up to 0.080-in. thick, depending upon material width.
The fourth line, installed in Richmond, Ky., is comprised of COE’s 48-in. servo roll feed, 48-in. x 20-ft. dual threading table, 30,000-lb. x 48-in. coil reel, and 4-in. x 48-in. straightener with 6-in. pinch rolls. It can process MCRS up to 0.250-in thick and AHSS up to 0.090-in. thick, depending upon material width.
All the straighteners are equipped with non-marking chrome rolls and a heavy-duty alligator peeler-dekinker station for hands-free threading and top or bottom payoff ability. All the systems have a roll speed up 362 feet/minute and straightener payoff rate of up to 80 FPM.
COE also provided Installation, training and startup at each of the facilities.
