COE Press Equipment is introducing the new SpaceMaster Compact Cut-to-Length Line, a compact coil processing system designed for small to mid-sized contract fabricators and product OEMs looking to produce blanks in-house without the footprint, complexity or investment associated with a larger automated cut-to-length system.
The SpaceMaster combines controlled coil payoff, straightening, precision feeding, shearing and stacking into one integrated system designed primarily for mild steel and non-cosmetic applications.
The new line will be featured at FABTECH 2026 in Las Vegas.
Compact Coil-to-Blank Production
The SpaceMaster was developed for manufacturers that want the advantages of producing blanks directly from coil but may not need a large, highly automated cut-to-length system.
A motorized paddle-loop coil reel feeds material directly into a servo-driven feeder/straightener, reducing the amount of floor space normally required for larger looping configurations.
The feeder/straightener removes coil set while accurately advancing material to the programmed blank length. From there, a servo shear cuts the material before finished blanks are delivered to an adjustable stacking system.
The result is a simplified coil-to-blank process in a compact footprint.
Designed for Fabricators and Product OEMs
The SpaceMaster is designed primarily for small to mid-sized contract fabricators and product manufacturers looking to bring blank production in-house.

- HVAC components

- Applications where minor surface marking is acceptable
Because of its paddle-loop reel configuration and simplified stacking system, the SpaceMaster is intended primarily for non-cosmetic applications where surface appearance is not a critical requirement.

Servo Feeder/Straightener
The nine-roll feeder/straightener combines material straightening and precision feeding in a single machine.
Key capabilities include:
- Feed speeds up to 120 FPM
- Nine straightener rolls
- 15.0 kW Sigma-7 servo drive package
- Automatic straightener roll pressure control by job recipe
- Entrance and exit pinch rolls
- Self-centering entrance and exit edge guides
- IFM touchscreen controller
- End-of-material sensing
- Automatic lubrication
Automatic roll pressure control allows straightener settings to be stored as part of the job recipe, helping simplify setup when returning to repeat jobs.
Compact Motorized Coil Reel
The paddle-loop reel configuration helps reduce the space normally required between the coil reel and straightener.
Features include:
- Variable-speed payoff from 1 to 120 FPM
- Maximum coil outside diameter of 72 in.
- Mandrel expansion range from 19.25 to 24.75 in.
- Hydraulic traveling coil car
- Hydraulic mandrel expansion
- Motorized hold-down arm
- Dynamic braking
- 5 HP AC variable-speed drive
Servo Shear
After the material is straightened and positioned, an eccentric-drive servo shear cuts each blank to length.
The shear provides:
- Maximum cutting rate of 30 strokes per minute
- Micro-adjustable blade gap
- Eccentric-drive shear ram and blade
- Single-rake blade design
Simplified Blank Stacking
Finished blanks are delivered to an automatically lowering scissor-lift table designed to maintain an orderly stack without the cost and complexity of a more advanced automated stacking system.
Stacker capabilities include:
- Maximum stack weight of 10,000 lbs.
- Maximum stack height of 12 in.
- Blank widths from 6 to 48 in.
- Blank lengths from 12 to 96 in.
- Side-unloading configuration
- Adjustable suspended side guides
- Adjustable backstop with digital position readout
- Automatically lowering scissor-lift table
Bring Blanking In-House
For manufacturers purchasing pre-cut blanks or considering bringing more material processing in-house, the SpaceMaster provides another option between outsourced blank production and a larger automated cut-to-length system.
Producing blanks directly from coil can give manufacturers greater control over when material is processed while creating a more integrated blank production workflow inside their own facility.
